Flex Shaft

The 31A model is the choice of most people. Its rotation speed is 18000RPM, 1/6HP. Note that 1/6HP is continuous output power rather than maximum power, because it is unscientific to calculate based on maximum power. The biggest advantages of this machine are its stability and low noise. Excellent power can also meet the needs of jewelers. The rotation speed of 31B is 20000RPM and the power is 1/5hp. It has higher power and speed, and can perfectly handle tasks requiring high torque.

• Vibration in the flexible shaft is usually caused by a kinked or bent inner shaft.
• Bending the shaft too tightly at the handpiece or motor ends is the primary cause of shaft kinking.
• We recommend that you not exceed a 4” radius curvature of the flexible shaft.
• Improper shaft-to-sheath adjustment will also cause vibration and kinking. The shaft key tip should extend 3/4″ out from the sheath tip to prevent kinks.
• Overloading the tool will also cause vibration and “knotting” of the shaft.
• Be sure to use caution when working around imperfections in your work piece.
• Lack of shaft grease and failure to periodically clean and re-grease the shaft may also cause vibration.
• Over greasing the shaft is the primary cause of handpiece over-heating.
• Rarely, the flexible shaft motor coupling set screw may loosen and fall into the space between the inner shaft and the outer sheath causing damage to both shaft and sheath.

The inner shaft is a long thin flexible length of tightly coiled steel wires that slides and spins inside a shorter spring known as a silencer. The outer sheath is a reinforced rubber-like or neoprene hose with a steel flat wire liner in which the shaft spins, transferring the power from the motor to the handpiece.

Jewelry Polisher

Some chemicals in the yellow polishing wheel make it harder. Can remove some deep metal surface scratches. The white polishing wheel is more suitable for the final polishing stage to achieve a mirror effect on the polished items.

In this case, we will recommend a dust collector. On the one hand, it is helpful for the health of the user, and on the other hand, it also protects the machine. Why don't we block the heat dissipation holes of the machine to prevent this problem? Because after many initial experiments, overheating will cause the machine motor to burn out easily.

Please don't worry, you just need to open the carbon brush cover and replace it with new carbon brushes, and the machine can run again. Depending on your frequency of use, we usually recommend users to replace the carbon brushes every three months, which can extend the life of the machine motor and make the machine work better.
